The OpenSSH SSH client supports SSH protocols 1 and 2. Protocol 2 is the default, with ssh falling back to protocol 1 if it detects protocol 2 is unsupported. These settings may be altered using the Protocol option in ssh_config(5), or enforced using the -1 and -2 options (see above). This can happen when the hostname reported by the server does not the match hostname given in the SSL certificate. Make sure your server configuration uses correct values for ServerName and NameVirtualHost. A client-side fix is to update OpenSSL to version 1.0.0d. See this post to the Subversion developer mailing list for details. SSH, which is an acronym for Secure SHell, was designed and created to provide the best security when accessing another computer remotely. Not only does it encrypt the session, it also provides better authentication facilities, as well as features like secure file transfer, X session forwarding, port forwarding and more so that you can increase the security of other protocols.
Jul 17, 2012 · With the DNS changes in Ubuntu 12.04, most development machines running with libvirt and lxc end up running quite a few DNS servers.. These DNS servers work fine when queried from a system on their network, but aren’t integrated with the main dnsmasq instance and so won’t let you resolve your VM and containers from outside of their respective networks.
